Collagraph Prints

Here are some images of Third Grade collagraph plates and prints for a self portrait printmaking unit. We began by looking at the artwork of Frida Kahlo and how she incorporates personal elements into the backgrounds of her portraits before beginning this artwork. The students added things about their personality and enjoyed creating the plates and eventually printing from them in this unit.
